We are looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our finance team. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead and execute the planning and analysis function for our growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Build, own, drive and execute the monthly and annual FP&A processes and provide financial leadership at a Corporate and market level for TerrAscend’s global business
•Develop, implement, and continuously refine the monthly rolling forecast process for all business units, and companies, full P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capital Expenditure and M&A Capital
•Partner with leaders across the organization to develop standalone and consolidated financial forecasts at the market and consolidated level
•Support future debt or equity financing processes through production of forecasts, presentations, and responding to due diligence requests
•Create financial models and reporting standards to facilitate communication of financial and non-financial metrics with senior management and external stakeholders
•Act as a key member of the divisional financial leadership team
•Engage with business leaders and provide guidance based on calculated and well thought out recommendations, act as a trusted advisor to drive insights
•Optimize cash flow, debt, forecasting and internal reporting in addition to quarterly and annual communication with external shareholders
•Participate in the organization's strategic planning process and maintain an understanding of industry trends, key business / cost drivers, accounting policies etc.
•Provide leadership in the overall performance management of the team; including setting clear expectations and objectives, providing coaching, measuring results and establishing an environment which motivates and engages talent to achieve desired results.
•Continuously monitor, recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and productivity
•Create a strong business partnership to drive ownership of internal control policies and procedures
•Create, develop and foster a high performing team through empowerment and development of direct reports
•Champion and lead adoption of new and emerging technologies, master data governance and adherence, analytics and business intelligence tools
Qualifications and Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related area
•10 + years of finance experience in an analytical role (preferably FP&A)
•2 years of leadership experience
•Prior experience developing strategic finance plans for business implementation, M&A and integration
•MBA or CPA is required
•Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, in an ambiguous and developing structure
•Proven track record as a people manager as well as an individual contributor
•Self-starter, well-organized with excellent attention to detail and a continuous process improvement mindset
•Proficient in financial modelling and analytics in Microsoft Excel, R, SAS and other relevant tools
•Direct, relevant experience with working in mid- to large-scale ERP systems is required
•Ability to comfortably interact with senior management and external stakeholders in a professional manner
•Track record of meeting tight working deadlines, and prioritizing workload are essential
•Experience working in a public company and or Investment Banking Firm supporting public companies is required
